BACP-accredited counsellor and EMDR therapist

About Anna

Hello, I’m Anna. I offer calm, compassionate counselling for people facing grief, pregnancy-related difficulties, baby loss, birth trauma and other painful life experiences.

My aim is to help you feel safe, understood and able to explore what has happened at your own pace.

Specialist support

Alongside you through loss, trauma and transition

I work particularly with bereavement, pregnancy and baby loss, birth trauma, fertility difficulties, pregnancy-related anxiety, postnatal concerns and terminal illness.

I also offer specialist counselling for couples affected by baby loss or birth trauma.

Who I work with

A safe space to talk about what has happened

You may be grieving, trying to process a difficult birth, feeling anxious during pregnancy, or living with the emotional impact of fertility treatment, loss or illness.

You may feel overwhelmed, numb, angry, guilty or simply unsure how to move forward. There is no right way to respond, and you do not need to put everything into words immediately.

I work with adults individually and, where baby loss or birth trauma has affected you as a couple, I can support you together. I do not offer general couples counselling.

My background

Experience grounded in maternity and end-of-life care

My professional background is in midwifery and the NHS. I have worked in perinatal mental health and maternity services, supported and mentored students, and spent more than a year working with a local hospice-at-home team.

I also work with Petals, supporting people following pregnancy and baby loss.

I understand how valuable counselling can be during a painful and disorientating time. I consider it a privilege to work alongside people through loss, change and difficult periods of life.
